- Integration of text , graphics, video and sound: CBT,s integration of text , graphics, video and sound facilitates the learning process.
CBT Vs E_ learning
CBT is a form of education in which a student learns by using special training programs on a computer through internet while E- Learning is delivery the training or education through electronic devices.
Types of CBT depending on the teaching method – pedagogic strategy
- Demonstration
- Tutorial
- Simulation
- is best used to support the introduction of new information
- applied widely for creation of instruction books
- is similar to E-book concerning the learning method
- main feature: a sequential manner of introducing new information
- useful for teaching factual information, simple discrimination, rules, and simple application of rules
- Drill and Skill practice - used after initial instruction when mastery of a new skill or information is desired
- Problem solving - used to augment higher order thinking skills
- IST = Intelligent Tutorial Systems - provide direct feedback to students, without the intervention of human beings, whilst performing a task.
- used when practicing a skill in its real context is too costly or dangerous (such as military or pilot training)
- used to model real-world situations
- type variation: Training games

LESSON PLAN ACTIVITIES
Gain Attention
Identify the objectives
At the end of the session students would be able to
---understand what is Computer based Training?
---Briefly Explain the teqniquies of CBT
---Tell the features of CBT
----write advantages and disadvantages of CBT
Recall prior knowledge
Let them answer few question
1. what is the use of computer?
2. What is the use of internet?
3. How do we learn using computers?
After answering the questions.
let them fill a KWL chart for Computer based learning
Ask them to fill first two columns of the sheet

Elicit Performanc
Activity -1 (35 minutes)
Read the blog and websites carefully. let the student make a book let for the topic Computer Based Training. the following points should include
--What is CBT?
--What are the techniques of CBT?
--What are the advantages and dis advantages of CBT?
--What are features of CBT?
--How CBT can be used in our real life?
---- Write students view about
§ the process of CBT
§ How CBT can be promoted?
. (student can present through use video conferencing or up load it to facilitator.)
(you can use pictures, charts , posters and power point presentation)
Providing Feedback
Feedback can be given while collecting information. Students can share the information they have collected and tell how s/he will preset it. So the facilitator can comment and give feedback while on task. Later, the student can present the booklet to the facilitator in any method. For example: student can present it through video conference or by uploading it to the facilitator.
Asses performances
Activity-2 (10 minutes)
As soon as student submit the quiz answers. feedback will be given as whether it is wrong or right
.

Activity -3 (15 minutes)
Here students would make a mind map for CBT
This is a sample of a mind map. students can include more points such as advantages and disadvantages.
At last fill last column of the KWL chart.. what you have learnt during the session.
